What happens at church?

Though each of our services look different, they share much in common. Each week we open the Bible, hear a talk, pray, sing, and spend time in community. We share Holy Communion once or twice per month. We offer both juice and wine, bread and a gluten free option. Communion is a way that Christians celebrate and remember Jesus’ death for our sin.

As you come in, you will be welcomed at the door and handed some information about that day and what’s coming up in the life of our church.

After 7:30 church, we go out for breakfast at Cafe Omega, there is always room for more people to join us.

After 9:30 church, we have a great morning tea in the hall (with gluten free options).

I'm not a Christian - am I welcome?

Absolutely! Our doors are open to everyone, as we believe that the good news of Jesus is for everyone. We’d love to help you to explore this good news, and to put your faith in Jesus. Our church services are a great place for you to do this.

What time should I arrive?

We aim to start our services on the advertised time, but you might like to arrive a bit earlier to get settled before we begin.

How long does the service go for?

Our service runs for around one hour and15 minutes and no longer than 90 minutes. You are also welcome to join us for morning tea or supper after the service.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable joining us for Church. Please just come as you are – church is about the people you’re with, not the clothes you’re wearing.

In winter, the building is cold, so please dress warm (we have blankets and heated seats).

Where do I sit?

You are welcome to sit anywhere. There’s no reserved or VIP seating, so as long as no one else is sitting on the seat, you’re welcome to sit there!

What participation is required?

We want you to feel welcome to come and listen in, without fear of being asked to do anything you’re uncomfortable with. You can leave whenever you like, and while you can remain as anonymous as you want to be, we encourage you to introduce yourself to us – we’d love to meet you.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely – church is for people of all ages and stages. Kids Church takes place during our 9:30 church service. There is also a creche and a room for mothers to feed their babies.

Kids and adults join us at the start of the service, and then the children go to Kids Church about 20 minutes in. At Kids Church, children are well cared for by trained leaders, who have received child protection qualifications. You are welcome to sit in during Kids Church and watch what happens.

Our under school age programs have snack time, so bring a snack and a water bottle with you (don't worry if you forget, we always have spare food).

Accessibility

Our church has step-free access into the church building, accessible toilet, office and outdoor area where we enjoy food together after our Sunday services.

Who is Sunday for?

Our services are for everyone!

We are a community of ordinary, imperfect people who gather around the Bible’s teaching about Jesus.

You might be a follower of Jesus, someone coming with lots of questions, or wanting to reconnect with an old faith. Either way, you’re welcome here.
